The best known perhaps are Friulian white wines. A perfect grapevine land, crossed by many rivers, bathed by the sea and the surrounding mountains. The Friulian region in production term Friulian wines boasts two named DOCG, 9 DOC and 3 IGTs, thus placing the first places in Italy for production.

The main red wines produced in Friuli are the Cabernet, the Cabernet Sauvignon, the Pinot nero, the Merlot, the Refosco dal peduncolo rosso and the Schippettino.

Among the white wines produced in Friuli we can find Chardonnay, Istrian Malvasia, Picolit Docg, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Ramandolo Docg, Yellow Ribolla, Riesling, Sauvignon, Aromatic Traminer and Friulian Verduzzo.
