Italian pasta factoriesThe Italian pasta factories and establishments are generally not equipped for the production of pasta , usually these are fully automated , with silos for storage of raw materials , pullers dispensers which collects flour and meal , mixers , presses , dies , which takes place in the packaging of the product , drying plants and those of packaging . In large establishments all these operations take place on different parallel lines , for long pasta , for short pasta and for special types of pulp . This is what happens in large pasta factories , in Italy we have a lot , but we also have lots of really small and medium producers of pasta , fresh pasta , ravioli , Cappelletti , short pasta etc .
