Emilia Romagna and Tuscany are around 1.4 million hectoliters; Abruzzi and Puglia in southern Italy produce a million hectoliters and just under 900,000 hectoliters, while Sicily only 164,000 hl. The Italian territory is dotted with thousands of wine producers both large and small producing an infinite number of types that are distinguished by taste, color, aroma and fragrance giving Italy a unique image in the history of the wine culture.
