Wines productionThe wines production that takes place in Italy is of excellent quality and quantity. Italian wines are appreciated all the way, and in recent years the export of these has grown exponentially. With the advent of so many Italian fairs like Vinitaly Cibus and many other of the Italian wine market has developed considerably beyond our borders

About 40% of the entire Italian production is DOC and DOCG, a third is at IGT. The region that produces more wine in Italy is the Veneto, with 7.5 million hectoliters, immediately after the Emilia Romagna, with 5.6 million hectoliters. In third place we have Sicily, with 4.5 million hl, then Puglia, with 4 million hl, then Tuscany, the Abruzzi and Piedmont, with 2.3 million hl each.

If we look at the production of wines DOC and DOCG, Veneto is still the leader with 3.7 million hectoliters, right after we Piedmont with 2 million hectoliters. Emilia Romagna and Tuscany are around 1.4 million hectoliters; Abruzzi and Puglia in southern Italy produce a million hectoliters and just under 900,000 hectoliters, while Sicily only 164,000 hl. The Italian territory is dotted with thousands of wine producers both large and small producing an infinite number of types that are distinguished by taste, color, aroma and fragrance giving Italy a unique image in the history of the wine culture.

Wines production type in Italy varies from region to region. That's the beauty of Italy and of Italian wines. The product varies according to the type of ground on which the vine grows, according to the sun, according to the fact whether the vineyard is located close to the sea. Are so many variables in the production Italian wines. This makes the Italian wines a unique and inimitable product.
