ANTICA CASCINA SAN ROCCO rises in Ricaldone in the province of Alessandria. And this is a particularly favorable area for aromatic grapes such as Moscato and Brachetto. The wines of this territory are the result of a right mix, since the land is particularly suitable.
The Antica Cascina San Rocco has a vineyard that stretches over an area of over thirty hectares of land. It is located in the municipality of Ricaldone and divided into different varieties of vines including: Moscato d’Asti, Brachetto d’Acqui, Barbera d’Asti or Monferrato, Dolcetto d’Acqui, Piedmont Chardonnay and Cortese dell’Alto Monferrato. The vinification of the harvested grapes takes place in its own cellar. To know that the grapes are processed following the ancient techniques of the local winemaker tradition. In addition, the company also takes care of bottling the wine produced and dispose it in special rooms designed to correctly perform such an important procedure.
The winery deals with the production of red wines and white wines including Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG, Moscato d’Asti DOCG, Barbera del Monferrato DOC, Cuniculus, Barbera d’Asti DOC, Dolcetto d’Acqui DOC, Rivus, Monticellum, Castanea and Vallarentius.
It is possible to visit the entire company and take part in wine tastings organized by Mrs. Gabriella. For the occasion, small buffets are prepared with combinations of wines and typical products of the area.
