AZIENDA AGRICOLA BARBERIS is located in a very suggestive area of the town of Cortemilla, in a small village in the Langhe. The wine produced by the Barberis farm is obtained exclusively from the corporate grapes. Vineyards grown on the farm are muscat, dolcetto, chardonnay, barbera and merlot.
The farm Barberis is located in the Cascina San Lorenzo, a historic residence of the Barberis family. The farm covers about 16 hectares, of which 9 hectares of hazelnuts, 6 hectares of vineyards and 1 hectare of nurseries, vines and hazelnuts. Here we find 9 kilometers of terraces of different heights, which wind through the vineyards. These ancient dry walls date back to the end of 1800. They have arched motifs and tear up the steep little hills of cultivable land.
To know that the shape of the terraces and the proximity to the sea, as well as the marvelous terrain combined with the quality of work, create a unique terroir. All this allows the company to reach and guarantee a high quality standard by obtaining a genuine niche product. The characteristic of the Barberis company is the full control of the viticola and corilicola, ranging from barbatella to wine and from suckling to toasted hazelnuts. In this way, though effortless, it was possible to realize the whole chain process: from screw to wine, from producer to consumer.

The main goal is to keep craftsmanship by offering authentic, sincere and unique products of their kind. The annual production is about 12,000 bottles of DOC wines. They are obtained by transforming around 25% of the corporate grapes. This percentage is deliberately maintained to ensure a high quality standard. The company, besides the production of an excellent wine, proposes the round trilobato round hazel. The rounded and roasted trilobate round hazelnut is cultivated in the hazelnuts. Although it is suitable for different geographic areas, this type of hazelnut is best placed in Alta Langa. From this marriage an excellent product is born.
