AZIENDA VINICOLA LA MONTAGNETTA places its roots in the hamlet of Bricco Capello in Roatto in the province of Asti. A small village situated on the hillsides of the northern Aegean. And it is here that we meet the Fresian man. In this picturesque agricultural center we know Mr. Domenico Capello, who tells us his story with the Fresia.
A twenty-year history of Mr. Domenico, who in 1996 decided to become a winegrower by investing in the small property left by his grandfather. With determination and much work, work begins to bring to the fore an important and ancient vine: the Fresia. The protagonist is the variety of this vine, which is deeply linked to Piedmontese viticulture.
The Freisa can be amiable, sparkling or spumante. It is a wine that can satisfy palate with very different tastes. The goal, after two decades, is to give voice and emphasis to those wines that best express the relationship with the land of origin. In this way we want to communicate to tourists and consumers, the values that these wines bring with it.

The La Montagnetta winery conducted by Domenico Capello, is known as the cellar specializing in the creation of Freisa. In recent years, in a series of studies and experiments conducted, it was possible to highlight how a high degree of maturation allows to produce grapes from unexpected oenological qualities.
Mr. Domenico’s great skill comes from the creation of a range of original products. The farm’s hectares are about 10. They are cultivated under the conventional regime. The bottles produced each year from the La Montagnetta winery are about 40,000.
