CANTINA VALTELLINA SONDRIO BALGERA was founded in 1885 in Chiuro, in the province of Sondrio. Since its inception, the goal is to produce and bring abroad the good wine of Valtellina.

The tradition of “knowing how to make wine” is handed down from generation to generation among the Balgera. Today thanks to the modernization and expansion works, always respecting the tradition, Cantina Valtellina Sondrio Balgera is one of the best wineries in the Valtellina and is in all respects among the Italian wineries. The new techniques have enabled the Balgera wineglass company to continue exporting its typical Valtellina products.

The Balgera Wineries have proven over the years to be able to respond to the needs of the customer by implementing the proposed wine varieties. Balgera proposes high quality red wines of Valtellina, thus becoming among the Valtellina wines producers. Among the red wines there are also the Valtellina wines DOCG as the “Valtellina Superiore” proposed in its varieties of Sassella, Inferno, Grumello, Valgella and The Riserve. The other red wines offered are: Cà Fracia, Founder Reserve, Three Sforzato variants and two variants of Red of Valtellina. White wines of the Valtellina offered by the Cantine Balgera are the sparkling “Villa Quadrio” and the white “Le Meridiane” in the two dry and sparkling variants.

The Balgera Wineries also offer great so-called “meditation” wines. The white pass “Stilnovo” and the red passto “Luca 1 °” are an example of how in Valtellina you can produce an excellent dessert wine. Cantina Valtellina Sondrio Balgera is not only one of Valtellina’s wine producers, but also a typical distillate producer of Valtellina. The “Sforzato” grappa is a classic white grappa full of dry, clean flavors, indicated as a digestive tract. In addition to wine production, Balgera Vini wants to be competitive on the market, also proposes a production of grape-derived creams. A facial cream, a body cream and a shower / shampoo are produced. These products are particularly suitable for mature skin. The red wine and the wine products used, possess antioxidant properties and antiaging that benefit the skin.
