COLLE SARACENO is a wine cellar that produces four types of wines: Grechetto, Rosso Galdino, Sagrantino both dry and Passito. They are obtained exclusively from the grapes of their own vineyards.
The Colle Saraceno cellar belongs to the Botti family. The winery is among the smallest in the area, but among the oldest traditions. In fact, it is located on a magnificent ridge overlooking Assisi and Spoleto, where vines, and in particular Sagrantino, have always been cultivated. Knowing that members of the Botti family take care of all the stages of winemaking according to the experience gained in generations of work and dedication.
Here are produced four types of wines: Grechetto, Rosso Galdino, Sagrantino both dry and Passito. All obtained solely from the grapes of their own vineyards. The latter, the Sagrantino Passito, is the subject of great care and attention, since he regularly cares for the interest of connoisseurs and specialized publications, both Italian and foreign. The position of the vines is quite strategic, as they are located at 400 meters of altitude, along a wind-torn ridge. On it grow healthy, vigorous vineyards, with grapes in the smells, thanks to a good thermal excursion. To know that all Sagrantino’s big have the vineyards around here. GRECHETTO IGT UMBRIA
GRECHETTO White, autochthonous, of good structure (11.5-12% vol.), In the lands of the Botti Company, finds an ideal climate that favors the concentration of sugar.
ROSSO GALDINO IGT UMBRIA
