The history of the winery Gaglio starts from far. In the early 1900s, the paternal grandfather of Maria Teresa Gaglio, who still holds the company together with her daughter, Flora Mondello, cultivated vineyards on the slopes of Tindari. The wine was exported to France. In the early 1970s, Francesco Gaglio, created one of the most flourishing agricultural entrepreneurial realities in the province of Messina.
In particular, planted a first vineyard on the back of the Oliveri hills, which produced an excellent red wine. A well known and renowned wine in neighboring areas.
Among the most important products of the company Gaglio Vignaioli is the Leda Red. The Leda Rosso of Gaglio Vignaioli since 1910 is a red wine, firm and dry. This wine is vinified with Nero d’Avola grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon. The Winery Gaglio Vignaioli produces about 8000 bottles of Leda Red wine.
