The Valtellina is the land of Bitto DOP and the Valtellina Casera DOP, two of the products of the Caseifici Italiani Latteria Chiuro. The basis of different products that represent a chain that respects and carefully Valtellina.
From Latteria Sociale, arriving in the valley, you can admire the beautiful mountains, the Rhaetian Alps and the Orobie Pre-Alps. A scenario of corn fields and meadowland which are a primary source for feeding of dairy cows of the member companies of the cooperative.

Now for fifty years the Latteria Sociale Cooperativa di Chiuro deals with associating the most modern processing technologies using traditional breeding methods. One of the best Italian dairies born in 1957 in order to bring together the work of many small farmers. This dairy in Sondrio is the first dairy cooperative to produce drinking milk from Valtellina. The dairy now boasts a consortium of eighty members and about twenty local farms.

Latteria Chiuro Caseifici Italiani is also involved in the cattle of local breed cows fed only hay meadows of Valtellina. The dairy is characterized by the vanguard of its combined technologies to traditional methods in order to ensure animal welfare and the goodness of milk obtained. This dairy farm, thanks to its modern logistics facilities, offers daily quality milk and cheeses from Valtellina in addition to raw milk.
