OLEIFICIO MATALUCCI has its roots in Pineto. And it is right here, 2 km from the Adriatic Sea, that an excellent extra virgin olive oil is processed. It is also present on the Gambero Rosso Guide for Italian olive oils.
The olive oil produced by the oil mill Matalucci is obtained exclusively from olives grown and selected in our area where it stands. The prerogative of the Teramano oil mill is that of paying close attention to the milling of the olives. In fact, they are pressed within 24 hours of harvesting using only leccino, straight, moraiolo, peranzana and tortiglione cultivars.
The production presents a choice of oils that leads to satisfy the various tastes and combinations with oil E.V.O., organic farming olive oil, D.o.p. “Pretuziano of the Teramo hills” and olive oils flavored with natural products, as well as in olive oil, pate, chocolate, cheese and cosmetics.
In the structure of the oil mill schools and tourists are welcomed for guided tours with explanations and tastings so that we can get to know and explore this wonderful land, that is Abruzzo. In fact, in this regard, the Matalucci oil mill due to its splendid position, offers the possibility to appreciate the beauties of our naturalistic heritage.
Within a few kilometers we find: La Torre del Cerrano (now a Marine Protected Area), the ancient village of Mutignano, the city of Atri, with architectural riches and the Calanchi nature reserve, and the village of Montepagano whose roots date back to the Middle Evo. Guarding all these beauties and riches stands the “sleeping giant”: Mount Gran Sasso. In other words, a land to be discovered.
