The Piazzolla Sali works a raw material obtained by a process which is the synthesis between human ingenuity and a natural cycle that is miraculous.
The first phase involves taking water of the Adriatic Sea by powerful water-scooping that put into special tanks with evaporator function.
Piazzolla Sali is one of the Italian salt producers scattered on all the Italian coasts .
Subsequently the sea water is transferred into additional tanks called salting, where the action of sunlight and wind involve a further evaporation and a gradual increase in temperature until obtaining a high salt concentration and the deposit of sodium chloride.
After this phase, the residual water that is removed from the tanks to allow the collection of salt deposited.
Arrived in the establishments of Piazzolla sali sea salt crude, thus obtained, is entered in the plants and subjected to the various stages of processing.
Depending on the application the sea salt is then washed, centrifuged, dried at 220 °, milled, screened, enriched with iodine and anti-caking agent and packaged for sale.
