RIFUGIO CLAUDIO E BRUNO is located in Alta Val Formazza near the Glacier Strahlgrat-Hohsand, overlooking the Lago Sabbioni in provice of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, excellent starting point for mountain hikes to the peaks surrounding the refuge. Rifugio Claudio E Bruno takes about three hours from lago Morasco for a well-trodden path that climbs steeply to the valley of Sabbione.
Rifugio Claudio E Bruno opened in 1979, was completely renovated in 1995, with a capacity of 65 beds, it has a large lounge and terrace where you can eat and rest, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the superb circle of peaks and glaciers surround the fantastic lago Sabbioni.
Rifugio Claudio E Bruno is the property of Associazione Don Bosco 3A Onlus and takes its name from two of the OMG volunteers died during a mission in Latin America.
