TENUTA DEL CASTELLO located in the municipality of Montegiordano in the province of Cosenza, nestled in a natural setting only, between the blue Ionian Sea and the intense colors of the fertile hills covered with pine trees and Mediterranean machine. The castle with the estate of about sixty hectares of land cultivated with vineyards and olive groves is owned by the Solano family starting from 1898.
Solano’s brother with Tenuta del Castello echo the great heritage of family experiences by launching a program of recovery of the culture and products of their land which finds its excellence in the replanting of native grapes Aglianico and reallocation in his place of origin or the Magna Grecia.
The Castle acquired along with the estate in 1898 from the Solano family was used as the center of the productive activity of the district with its oil mill, the mill, the stables and the former prison turned into warehouses for grain. In the period of the olive harvest and harvest the castle also housed the peasants with their families engaged in agricultural work.
