VINI LA QUERCIA is a winery located in the hills of Morro d’Oro, between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso. The company, since its inception, produces only autochthonous and quality wines. To know that the farm La Quercia has made a path for the recovery of the old vine the Montonico.
La Quercia is a small winery that extends for about 46.50 hectares with an enological plant of about 400 square meters. Its production capacity is about 4000 hl of wine. The company’s activity is based on respect for nature as it is convinced that this is essential to obtain a good product.
To know that during processing the product is treated as little as possible so that the glass can be reflected in the earth of origin and its typical characteristics. At the base of the processing there is the quality and the typicality of the product. It allows the identification of the wine and the land of origin. The wines produced by La Quercia are: the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, the Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and the Montonico IGT. Also Colline Teramane and the Cerasuolo Pecorino IGT. The limited production allows to always maintain a high quality standard that has allowed to obtain important awards.
In a few years, the dream of four friends and colleagues has become a reality. Today the wines of La Quercia are gaining more and more approval both in the national and international market. The members, all with over ten years of experience, work every day to reach ever higher levels of quality. In fact, they are constantly looking for those minimal nuances that allow us to progress in an increasingly fascinating and stimulating path.
Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOP/DOC - "La Quercia"
The Montepulciano La Quercia is an intense ruby red wine with violet hues, an intense characteristic aroma and a savory and full-bodied flavor. Gastronomic matches: Excellent with meat dishes. Great roast wine.
Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOCG - PrimaMadre
Gastronomic matches: excellent companion for strong dishes such as roasts, grilled game and seasoned cheese. Vinification: The grapes harvested manually are crushed within the next two hours. The crushing takes place with destemmer-crushing machine.
Colli Aprutini Igt Pecorino - Santapupa
Wine of good freshness with excellent structure and pleasant softness. Aged in the bottle it enhances the typical almond as well as the fruity end. Pecorino Santapupa has a good rate of alcohol and acidity. It lends itself very well to aging.
Abruzzo DOP/DOC Montonico Superiore - Santapupa
It is naturally drinkable thanks to the peculiar characteristics such as the yellow color and its innate softness. Excellent as an aperitif or as a companion of vegetable soups, mushrooms, fish appetizers and various snacks.
With considerable sacrifice, the farm has successfully entered a market full of competitors conquering its own space as well as appreciation and recognition. Around 2005 the landing in the United States of America, Central and Northern Europe, Japan, China and a very ambitious project with a chain of restaurants at Marchio La Quercia and finally the new arrival: Canada.
In recent years with the rationalization of the organization and thanks to continuous research on the product has managed to reach excellent levels in satisfying the needs of consumers and especially while retaining its characteristic, can stimulate new needs and satisfy them.
