Chieti is located in the east-central part of Abruzzo, at 330 meters above sea level, is on a hill which divides the waters of the basin of the river Aterno - Pescara ( north ) from those of the Alento River ( south ). The climate is Mediterranean of Chieti , and benefits of the influences of marine origin, being only less than 20 km from the sea , but at the same time is influenced by Majella, which is about 25-30 km away. The temperatures are not too high and not too stiff, and the temperature between day and night occur very contained, as only in some areas of the coast of Abruzzo.
