The city of Teramo is situated in the northern part of Abruzzo, in Val Tordino, in a hilly area on the slopes of Gran Sasso, which slopes down to the coast with a rich vegetation of vineyards and olive groves that make quests area a haven of peace. The city is at the confluence of the river with the river Tordino Vezzola that surround the old town.
