The caper plant is absolutely one of the symbols of Sicily. The south-east of Sicily, and in particular Vittoria, immediately proved to be a unique land of its kind. With its rolling hills, the countryside ordered by the perfect geometry of dry stone walls, together with the Mediterranean atmosphere that crosses the sea and the mountains, the CapperoMatto farm has its roots in this place.

Farm Cappero Matto is a company strongly anchored to the territory, and is the undisputed interpreter of this excellent product. Here are the capers, as precious as small green emeralds; grown in fertile and sandy soils, shaped by the wind and red-hot by the sun.

Unlike other capers, our caper lives in fertile and sandy soils, in the countryside surrounded by vineyards and citrus fruits. It is constantly bathed by fresh water, coming from deep strata and when it is caressed by the wind its scent spreads everywhere. And it is precisely the magical union of these elements that create the contrast with its being, which make it special and at the same time “hard and crunchy” with an explosion of flavors in the mouth.
