AZIENDA VINICOLA BO MASSIMO is located in the heart of the most sought after area for barbera. Precisely in the town of Costigliole d’Asti, on the border between Langa and Monferrato. The vineyards of the winery are all with optimal exposures, from southwest to southeast. And it is in these lands that the wines take on the body, expressing their characteristics of perfumes and flavors.
Massimo Bo is the last heir to a long line of winemakers. Together with his parents Armando and Marcella, he leads a company of about 10 hectares. It is made up of about 14 hectares, of which 2 are wheat, 2 are woody and the remaining 10 are vineyards. The vineyards are all with the best exposures. In fact, the Arbuc embodies the fruity and jovial expression of the vine. While the Costiliolae shows its complex and reflective side. The Arbuc’s peculiarity is that it is refined in steel, while the Costiliolae, aged in barriques and tonneau.
The Bo family follows skillfully, professionally and lovingly all stages of production: from vineyard to cellar to glass. In these areas, the vineyard system is the classic one in Guyot. It allows an optimal ripening of the grapes. The grapes are spun so as to obtain a qualitatively high product. The grapes, after being pressed, ferment in large concrete tanks for 10-12 days. During which manual replenishment is performed. Only the best product ends up in bottles. And will hardly be the same from one year to the next. Bo Massimo’s wine is a traditional and natural product, in fact it is appreciated all over the world.
